This week highlights the
benefits of Open Access as the new standard of publication in scholarship and research.
Open Access is a publishing
model that allows for literature to be accessed freely and without
restrictions. Many journals and institutional repositories, like the CSU
ePress, have adopted an Open Access policy in order to make research freely
available to the public.
- Improves the visibility of scholarship
- Increases dissemination of research
- Increases rates of citations
- You have free access to all of the works in Open Access sources.
- You can read, download, distribute, copy, print, and cite the research posted in Open Access journals and institutional repositories.
- By supporting Open access journals and institutional repositories you promote Open Access.
