Love The Journey: Study Abroad Perspectives Through Art

CSU Student Emily Wagner

CSU Libraries, in collaboration with the Center for International Studies and the Department of Visual Arts, opened its new Schwob Library First Floor Art Gallery on May 4th with the exhibit "Love The Journey: Study Abroad Perspectives Through Art." The exhibit, curated by art major and Study Abroad participant Emily Wagner, features photographs taken by CSU students during their participation in CSU's various Study Abroad programs. Assisting Wagner in organizing the exhibit was CSU Study Abroad coordinator Maggie Miller. The black-and-white and color photographs portray people, architecture, landscape, and artistic performances from France and England to Mexico, and Japan.

The Schwob Library Art Gallery is the result of a collaboration between CSU librarians, and CSU Corn Center Gallery Director Hannah Israel. The purpose of the Gallery is twofold: to enhance the atmosphere of the Schwob Library Information Commons area, and to provide CSU students with a venue to exhibit their art. The current exhibit, in place until mid-June, is open to the public and is free of charge. CSU Libraries invite all CSU faculty, staff, and students to stop by the Main Campus Library and view the photographs produced by these talented CSU students.
