The Great Speckled Bird Exhibtion
Exploring controversial topics such as race, women's rights, and sexuality, the The Great Speckled Bird was an underground newspaper published at Atlanta in the 1960's. With a grant from the Georgia Humanities Council, all issues of the The Bird have been digitized by Georgia State University Library and are available at no cost.
A brief history of The Bird is on display on the first floor of Simon Schwob Memorial Library and the entire collection can be viewed at http://library.gsu.edu/gsb
