Tech Tip: Saving Articles to Google Drive

In addition to saving articles using your My EBSCOhost Folder, you can now save HTML Full Text and PDF Full Text to Google Drive from GALILEO Discover, EBSCOhost databases, and Explora.

  • From the article detail page, HTML Full Text, or PDF Viewer, click the Google Drive icon in the tools menu on the right.
  • If you are not logged into your Google Drive account, you will be prompted to do so.
Note:  The Google authentication opens a new window which may be blocked by your browser pop-up blocker.  GALILEO has developed a guide for how to allow pop-ups.
  • Click Allow to authorize EBSCO to view and manage files in your Google Drive.Click OK to close the Google Drive panel after it has indicated that your article has been saved.
  • Your articles are saved to Google Drive in an "EBSCO" folder.
A complete guide, containing more screenshots, can be found on EBSCO’s Support Site.

GALILEO has also created a screencast which demonstrates saving a PDF to Google Drive.
