New Medici.tv Database

CSU Libraries is very pleased to join many other universities across the globe to bring you access to Medici.tv via the GALILEO homepage. It is the largest online collection of classical music videos in the world with an ever-growing catalog of over 1,500 on demand streaming films of concerts, competitions, operas, archives back to the 1950s, ballets, documentaries, master classes, artist profiles, and educational films; as well as 100 events streamed live annually.

Medici.tv offers the performing arts community high-definition webcasts from the leading international festivals and major music venues.  Students and faculty may search or browse for video by artist, composer, conductor, movie director, or musical period to explore repertoire, technique, and compare a variety of interpretations of compositions.

We’re thrilled to introduce this new digital media resource that will support in-depth study across the performing arts and the humanities through concerts and performances, classes, educational programs, and archival materials.
