Celebrating Black History Month

Just in time for Black History Month, February's CSU Libraries: In the Stacks virtual display of seasonal selections features books by 20th century black authors.

Continuing the celebration, the CSU Libraries will present the 2013 African American Read-In on February 21st at 2 PM at the CSU Main Campus Library.  All students, staff, and faculty are invited to participate in reading a selection from a favorite African American author.  Please sign up at the Reference Desk or email Michelle Jones at jones_michelle@columbusstate.edu  This year's special guest is professional storyteller, LaDoris Bias-Davis.

LaDoris Bias-Davis has been telling tales and facilitating workshops across the United States for fifteen years.  Her programs are tailored to schools, libraries, youth groups, Early Childhood organizations, literacy/reading programs, motivational assemblies, corporations, family reunions, and more.

Ms. Bias-Davis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Theatre and earned a graduate degree in Early Literacy Education.
