Puzzle Watch: The Vote is In!

The vote is in. The next puzzle to be constructed is Old-Timey Coffee Shop. CSU Libraries feel that it gives the proper tone for the fall season that we are now in, as well as a reminder that our ancestors were addicted to caffeine as much as we are.

Thank you to all those who voted and please take time to reap your rewards by stopping by the puzzle table in Schwob Library.

Welcome Our New Staff Member: Eric Van Bibber

Please help CSU Libraries in welcoming Eric Van Bibber as our newest staff member!

Eric Van Bibber is our new Acquisitions Assistant. He keeps track of the library's finances by processing invoices, updating the library's ledger and funds and making sure that we spend our money wisely.

Eric Van Bibber has lived in Columbus since 1972. He graduated from Spencer High School in 1977 and received an AAS in Criminal Justice and a BS in Education from CSU. Eric has not only worked in libraries in the past, but he has also worked in printing, telecommunications, law enforcement, and teaching.

Eric Van Bibber is married and has two children and two grandchildren. He is also "claimed by" one very fat, fuzzy cat. His hobbies include photography, hiking, collecting rocks and sand, and writing.

Welcome to CSU Libraries, Eric!

Puzzle Watch: Croatian Garden Scene is Complete!

The Croatian garden scene puzzle is finished. There are three missing pieces, but then it's always good to leave room for improvement. The completed puzzle will be on display for the next week on the first floor of Schwob Memorial Library if you would like to come in and see it.

Meanwhile, you can vote on the next puzzle selection. There are three options to choose from: Kitten with Lantern, Sailboats, and an Old Timey Coffee Shop.

September 10th Puzzle Watch

The puzzle seemed to take an extended Labor Day holiday at the Schwob Library. However, as of Wednesday it was back in production. The palm trees have been completely constructed, and the tiny people walking across the bridge bring forth the realization, verified by the box, that this garden scene is from a photograph and not a painting.

More lovely photos of Dubrovnik can be found on its Flickr page at: http://www.flickr.com/groups/dubrovnik-croatia/.

It looks like the pieces left to this puzzle include sky, flowers, and grass. Stop in to help complete the picture and stay tuned for next week's update.
