Statistics to the Rescue!

Are you frustrated by the loss of access to government statistics?  Census.gov, Bureau of Labor Statistics and American FactFinder are all government statistical sources were either down or not being updated because of the government shutdown.  While there is no replacement for the comprehensiveness of these sources, CSU Libraries does have statistical resources that can fill the gap.

Statista gathers data from a variety of government, non-profit, and private sources and offers easily searchable statistics that can be downloaded as jpg, pdf and excel files.

Statistical Abstracts of the United States is a easily searchable statistical resource that gathers data from 1878 forward.  Previously managed by the Census, it is now offered through Proquest.

Both resources can be found in Galileo by clicking on Databases A to Z.
