Experience the Battle
of Columbus through this interactive map created by CSU Archives which
includes troop placements and defensive fortifications. Often called the Last Battle
of the Civil War, the Battle of Columbus took place on April 16, 1865, just a
few days after Lee’s surrender at Appomattox on April 9, 1865.
