It’s that time of year again in the Library, for
next week is Open Access Week! Open
Access, as many of you may know, is the push scholarly work to be open and
available to everyone, free of charge.
Columbus State University Libraries has taken the initiative to
incorporate more elements of open access in our electronic resources for
student and faculty research. The focal
point of open access at CSU is the CSU ePress, which is the CSU’s
non-commercial, open access institutional repository that is a part of the
GALILEO Knowledge Repository (GKR). The CSU ePress contains several faculty
publications, and an extensive bibliography of CSU faculty research, in
addition to electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs), creative works, and academic
research pieces generated by CSU students.
For both students and faculty, access to quality
research is essential to being successful in their academic and career
endeavors. Thus, ask a librarian today
about how you can learn more about Open Access!
