CSU Libraries
responded to the need for a student study hub in 2012 by undergoing a major
renovation to the first floor. Study space was expanded, new flexible
furniture was purchased, and study aides such as mobile white boards,
Chromebooks, laptops and, this year, charging stations were distributed across
the first floor. Students have responded. In September 2013,
compared to September 2011, the library had a 42% increase in foot traffic to
a record breaking 50,812
visitors! Gate counts for the
first quarter of FY 2014 are up 29% overall from the same period two years ago.
We are thrilled to see these numbers and look forward to what could be the
busiest finals studying season in CSU history!
