August 30th Puzzle Watch
As there were no blue skies for Columbus this weekend, likewise, the cardboard sky over our puzzle version of Dubrovnik remained elusive. However, who needs the sky when we have the lovely Adriatic Sea? Progress on the puzzle in Schwob Library was rapid last week. The buildings have been almost completely masoned together, the waves are crashing against the coast, and do I detect a hit of pine trees waiving in the sea breeze? Drop in to Schwob Library this week to help piece together this garden scene and stay tuned for next week's update.

Information Commons is Up and Running!
CSU Libraries is happy to announce that the Information Commons is up and running in its new location. Students have been enthusiastically using the computers at the front of the library since last week.
The renovations to the first floor are almost finished. The reference desk has been moved to the front of the library. A new area across from the Information Commons was set up to give students a quiet place for research and study. Comfortable seating has also been placed throughout the first floor to provide students with areas to collaborate with each other or to just relax between classes.
We appreciate your patience during our renovations. We sincerely hope that these renovations will allow us to provide you with improved services during this semester.

Puzzle Watch Update
The first week of the new semester is over. Everyone is busy taking up new projects and tasks. At the puzzle table in Schwob Memorial Library, students have taken up the construction of a new puzzle, as well. This lovely Croatian garden scene now has a fully constructed frame to build from. The detailed palace section has been put together as well. The more challenging floral and sky segments have yet to be tackled, so if you have time between your first readings and assignments, then stop in and take up the gauntlet. Stay tuned for next week's update. We're predicting blue skies.

Puzzle Watch
The fall semester has begun, and with it a new puzzle. For all you Croatia fans out there we have selected a garden scene right out of the fine city of Dubrovnik, located on the Adriatic coast.
Construction of the 1000 piece puzzle has commenced at Schwob Memorial Library. So far puzzle workers have isolated two of the corner pieces--integral to puzzle building strategy--as well as some of the edge pieces of sky, foliage, and what appears to be stone.

Moving the Reference Desk
As part of the Schwob Library renovation plans, the reference desk was moved on Wednesday, August 11th to its new location at the front of the library. Having the reference desk at the front of the library will allow us to provide improved services to CSU students, faculty and staff by creating a centralized "hub" for questions.
Please stop by at the Schwob Library to see all of the renovations that we have made during the summer. We hope to provide you with excellent assistance with all of your information needs this fall!
Special thanks goes to Michelle Viers for providing these great photos.
