An expert on frontier law, banking and charitable organizations in the South and Midwest will lecture at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11 at CSU's Schwob Memorial Library. The lecture by Scott Lien, Assistant Professor of History at Lyon College in Arkansas, is entitled "To Bleed at Every Pore for the Want of Money: Capitalism and the Traditional Social Order on the Southwestern Borderlands." It is part of the Master of Arts in History -- Race, Ethnicity and Society Lecture Series offered by CSU's Department of History and Geography. Refreshments will be served beginning at 4 p.m. The lecture is free and open to the public.
